What We Are Eating This Week W/C 31st October
There are many things that I love. Eating is really the main thing if I'm honest and this is probably why I can't lose weight as easily as I would like! It's all well and good telling someone to exercise more and eat less, but I do that and lose maybe a 1lb a week, which of course is great, but I really need to lose more than that... which is why I'm doing something a little drastic this week and going on a different meal plan to the rest of the family after Saturday. I may blog about this more later in the week, but until then here's what the rest of the family are eating this week.
We're having a Chilli off at Church along with our Trunk N Treat. I actually don't think we're going to eat Chilli, I think we're probably just going to eat sweets and feel full from our lunch that we're having at Jamie's Italian.
Daddy is going to a recording of RHLSTP (at least that's what the cool kids call it) and so BB is coming to Church with Tops and I before we then head home for an evening meal. It needs to be something fairly easy to cook, something quickish and something fitting of a Sunday.
I think that describes Beans on Toast with an egg on top.
I have some in the freezer that I was intending to eat myself, but with my meal plan it's up to the Children. I'm going to serve them with Baked Beans (left over from yesterday) to keep the children happy and Mash, as I love making mash.
Yummy yummy yummy in my tummy. Well, in the Children's tummies. BB will not be happy as it is being served with cauliflower and carrots which are two of this least favourite vegetables.
We try to eat at least eight portions of fruit and vegetables a day, so there will be times when one of the Children aren't happy with my choices! The point is however, the children know to eat it and they know that their favourite vegetables are probably only a couple of days away.
The Children are having a meal out with my Mum today. I'm not sure what I'll be doing probably twiddling my thumbs and trying not to drool.
We're back to Beavers and Guides tonight, so what could be better than a Fish Finger Sandwich wrapped up in Tin Foil and taken to be eaten in the Park by Beavers, before running the calories off by playing on the equipment?
Oh yeah! Being accompanied by Hot Chocolate with Cream and sprinkles. I'd like to do something fun for a pudding too, but I can't think of anything portable and fun and fairly healthy. If you've got any suggestions then please leave them in the comments!
The Children have asked for Pizza Jacket Potatoes again. This is basically where they put a load of toppings on the Jacket Potatoes and pretend that they have Pizza!
It is great because the Children tend to pick several vegetables (Peppers, Sweetcorn, to name but two) as well as cheese and of course their all time favourite pizza toppings ham and pineapple.
So that's what the Children are eating this week. Daddy is going to take care of himself, but it probably means a few nights of Beans on Toast, Pancake Pizza and maybe even Fish Finger Sandwiches for him too! What are you eating this week?
