What We Are Eating W/C 27th February 2016
I'm quite sad that we are almost at the end of our Fish Month. However, I now know what the Children do and don't like taste wise, texture wise and what is just too much of a hassle for me to make!
We have just two dishes left and then we'll take stock and look at what other fish dishes we'll have in rotation in the future.
I might get Daddy to make these, but they look quite easy and so I'm excited to at least try. Whoever makes them however will make two batches, one slightly less spicy as the Children will hate it otherwise and one a little more flavourful (spicy!) for the grownups!
Last meal of fish, battered Hake and Chips. I will get Daddy to make these ones because as I have mentioned before he is seriously much better at making batter than I am.
Plus it's gluten free batter and I'm really rubbish at that.
The Children asked for this! We're going to make some soup in the soup maker and have it with Toasted Cheese Sandwiches.
I'm personally very excited about it, as I'm expecting the Children to make it all themselves (with my help of course!)
I figured after a month of fish, we might miss Chicken, so we're making Pesto Chicken tonight. It'll be served with crushed potatoes and veg.
Top Ender is off out with her VIAM choir today and Daddy is off watching her. So BB and I have an evening to ourselves. We aren't sure what we're going to eat, but it'll probably be take out!
Tops is going to make this, Meatballs from Ikea, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and peas.
We're lucky that she is actually a very good and capable cook, so we're looking forward to her taking on a few more meals in the next few weeks.
I love making Beefburgers, I love filling them with Salsa or Cheese or whatever and so we're planning on making our own with filings we love, slapping tomatoes and lettuce in our buns and enjoying a great meal together.
So that's what we're eating this week. How about you?
