What We Are Eating W/C 17th June 2016
Hello Everyone! How are you? Despite what it seems like, I have actually been hard at work the last couple of weeks, mainly with small things but they are small things which make a big difference to the way we live in our home and hopefully the way that we will treat our home in the future... Yup you guessed it I've been clearing out more junk!
Anyway, here is what we are eating this week!
We're having a BBQ at our local Church today at lunchtime and so that will technically be our main meal. Top Ender has invited a friend, so I expect that with Dan Jon Jr being on a Bouncy Castle for most of the time, Top Ender and her friend hanging out doing what ever it is that 12 year olds do at Church BBQ's that Flyfour and I might actually get a chance to talk to each other...
I know right?
Anyhoo, we're planning on having snack bits in the evening whilst we watch a movie together. So I've stocked up on Nachos, Popcorn, Fruit, Olives (YUCK!) and a few other family favourites.
This was supposed to be what we had last Sunday, but my Mum gave us some lush Salmon and so we ended up having that instead. I really couldn't think of anything more lovely than this however so it's been added back today!
What more can I say? It's a classic and I wanted to use up some of the veggies in the fridge to make a tasty soup!
You know how in your freezer you have one portion of this and another portion of that? Yeah, well we do too. And tonight we're going to rectify that. I'm going to cook everything that we have just portion of and clear out the freezer!
We will get a low carb meal in at some point, and if I keep threatening it then maybe it will happen.
I said Maybe.
With Beavers and Guides on the same night, it's just easier to have Sandwiches on Thursday night and not have to worry about what we're eating as I know a sandwich will sustain everyone!
Plus I love making Fish Fingers.
Friday is a bad day for us this week, so we'll have evening meals where everyone can just pick their own from what ever is in the fridge, freezer or any of the cupboards.
This could be the start of a whole new world order... or just the start of my descent into lazy parenting. Either way, I bagsy the Brie and Salad.
Anyway, here is what we are eating this week!
Saturday - BBQ and Snack bits
We're having a BBQ at our local Church today at lunchtime and so that will technically be our main meal. Sunday - Cod in Parma Ham
This was supposed to be what we had last Sunday, but my Mum gave us some lush Salmon and so we ended up having that instead. I really couldn't think of anything more lovely than this however so it's been added back today!
Meatless Monday - Soup and Cheesy Sandwiches
What more can I say? It's a classic and I wanted to use up some of the veggies in the fridge to make a tasty soup!
Tuesday - Odds and Ends Night
You know how in your freezer you have one portion of this and another portion of that? Yeah, well we do too. And tonight we're going to rectify that. I'm going to cook everything that we have just portion of and clear out the freezer!
Wednesday - Low Carb Night (Read lots of Meat)
We will get a low carb meal in at some point, and if I keep threatening it then maybe it will happen.
