Rudolph Club 2018
Every year I look forward to Christmas because for one month of the year it seems like everyone is interested in helping others, performing service, celebrating moments of faith and of course everyone believes in a little magic at this time of year too. This year, I want to think about and spread the magic, the service, the helping others and of course the faith aspect for more than just the month of December and so I thought that I would share my Christmas preparation in the form of Rudolph Club posts!
Rudolph Club is where on the 25th of each month, I'll hold myself accountable for getting ready for Christmas, but I will also report back here on things that I've purchased or how I have spread the Christmas spirit around either my community or somewhere that I've been.
I'll also prepare for other Holidays and Celebrations, like Valentines Day, Chinese New Year, Easter, the Royal Wedding, Halloween, Bonfire Night, Mother's Day, Father's Day and others I'm sure!
I'm going to take part in a bit of Christmas themed self-care on the 25th of each month too, I'm going to watch a Christmas film, drink Hot Chocolate from my favourite Christmas Mug, eat some of my favourite Christmas foods and just enjoy the Christmas Spirit! Oh and of course publish a blog post about what I've been up to.
For the rest of the month, I'm going to work on any handmade items that I've decided to make and create my lists and of course, make a few stealthy purchases of items that family members mention to me that they like when we are out window shopping or sending links to each other via Whatsapp.
The best part of my plan is performing the service to helping others during the year and spreading the Christmas Spirit. I'm going to start small (and probably continue and end small too) and deliver a few little treats in secret to various neighbours (who don't read my blog!) to spread the Christmas Spirit (Neighbours who do read my blog, please keep my secret!) and as always, the service I do will mostly go unreported because I'm not doing it for glory, but to make the world a better place.
Who else can't wait until January 25th to find out what I'm up to?! I sure can't! Come back and tell me what you are up to preparing for Christmas or other holidays and celebrations during the year.
