What We Are Eating W/C 21st April 2018
Is it just me or is this year flying by? I swear, in a couple of weeks it'll be my birthday, but it was only Christmas a week or two ago! Still, at least with my birthday coming up, I'll be able to look forward to a nice Chinese and who knows maybe I'll finish one of my WIP (Works in Progress) as I currently have two knitted cardigans on the go, one baby vest, one crochet experiment and three cross stitch samplers!
I like to keep myself busy.
Ever since I discovered that Flyfour quite likes a Vegetable burger now and again, I've been buying these amazing Vegan Burgers from Tesco. Yes, I know I could make my own, but they are only £1 for six and are blooming lovely.
One of the great things about doing the weekly ship myself is that I get to pick dishes that I love and fancy. Flyfour, however, is able to adapt them which is why there was something spicy in the mash this week which I wasn't expecting!
Flyfour is not a happy bunny with this one and has threatened to accidentally forget to come home. He'll find that the Pea Pesto Pasta is waiting for him when he finally does get home.
I wanted to jazz up boring beans on toast and as Flyfour can't eat eggs I figured that some chopped Chorizo in the beans would allow us to feel like we are living it up.
I have a feeling we are going to get super sick of Soup and Toasties in the next few weeks, but I want a new Toastie maker with removable plates, so I'm trying to kill the current one by working it hard.
I'm really not sure how this is going to turn out. I'll make a pudding just in case it turns out terrible!
I was thinking that the tomato sauce from last night would probably not all get used in the dish, so I figured I could bake the Chicken in it tonight and basically use the leftovers up.
So, that's what we are eating this week. How about you?
