All Meals W/C 5th November 2018
I really can't believe that it is already November, that means I can officially watch a Christmas movie every day and wear my Christmas socks and only one of my friends will moan at me (he says Christmas shouldn't be mentioned until December 1st, but I say Humbug to him!) and the rest will just either be "SAME!" or "Pippa, you so crazy!" but then again, my friends are like that most of the time!
So on to the meals for the week!
Top Ender has had to swap from Early Morning Seminary to Online Seminary, which means we get to have breakfast at home together in the morning again, rather than Dan Jon in bed and Tops and I standing in the Kitchen worrying that we are making too much noise for the rest of the house!
This week, I thought I'd go all eggs on the family, mostly because I love them, they keep me full and because they are so quick to turn into something that looks much more than it's component parts.
Monday - Scrambled Eggs
Tuesday - Boiled Eggs and Soldiers
Wednesday - Breakfast Burrito
Thursday - Bullseye Egg
Friday - Full Breakfast (My version!)
Saturday and Sunday - Sort yourself out
Lunches this week for the Children will include a couple of portions of fruit, a drink, a treat and if it looks like a little amount of food, a pack of popcorn. I will either eat leftovers, the same as the children or have a bowl of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes because they are the best and because for some reason I purchased a box every week for three weeks, forgetting I'd got one the week before!
Monday - Calzone
Tuesday - Chicken and Ham Salad Burritos
Wednesday - School Meal
Thursday - Leftover Pasta or Sausage Rolls
Friday - School Meal
Saturday - Beans on Toast
Sunday - Toasties
Our evening meals this week are proper comfort food, with plenty of food to keep us warm and toasty. We may have turned the heating on, but that doesn't mean it is staying on. I'm still of the persuasion that if you can put on a jumper or an extra pair of socks that will probably solve your issue of being cold.
Monday - Fish Cakes with Mashed Root Vegetables and Salad
Tuesday - Leek and Potato Soup with Baguette
Wednesday - Tuna Pasta with Tomatoes
Thursday - Vegetable Soup with Cheese Toasties and hidden spinach
Friday - Fish Pie with Broccoli
Saturday - Chicken Curry, with sides
Sunday - Roast Chicken and Trimmings
So, that's what I have planned for our family this week. What are you having now that the nights are colder and dark?
