Weekend Meals And Family Time 23/24 March
So. If you spotted on Monday that my meal plans had something missing, eg the food for this weekend, you'd be right. Well, sort of. I hadn't forgotten them, I was just planning on doing something and this blog post is that something and hopefully a regular (ish) feature!
For our family, the weekends are a chance for us all to relax, to hang out together and reconnect and the activities we partake in and the food we eat during this time normally reflects that. It's family meals, I guess what most of us would think of as comfort food and of course some new favourites, which I think the children will think of as comfort food in the future.
This weekend we're having;
Saturday Lunch - Beans on Toast
Saturday Evening Meal - Crumbed Prawn Salad
Flyfour is organising a movie for us to watch as a family so the Crumbed Prawn Salad will be quite light as everyone will no doubt have filled up on Popcorn and other "Cinema" style snacks (yeah I mean Sweets,!) and so nobody will want a huge evening meal!
Sunday Lunch - Munch and Mingle/Chicken Goujons for Flyfour
Sunday Evening Meal - Fish Finger Sandwiches
At some point Sunday, we will have a family game or two. We will probably play some of our favourite games, such as Man Bites Dog or Exploding Kittens before everyone once again disappears to their own favourite spot to do their own Sabbath Day things.
Oh and I forgot to say, the children have been told that they are being expected to cook with us Adults on the weekend, to increase the amount of time we spend together and to increase their cooking skills too.
